I came to try it out after seeing a netizen mention this place as the epitome of Taiwanese cuisine!
🍲First, I noticed their blackboard highlighting Beef Original Soup, Bone Marrow Soup, and the fact that they don't use any MSG, which is rare in eateries nowadays that chase after taste.
🍲With the first sip of the soup, I could tell it was rich, sweet, and not unnaturally so like MSG. The sweetness was light, from vegetables and fruits. I ordered the Beef Brisket Noodles, and the brisket was tender yet chewy. The pieces were large and thick, providing a satisfying bite. It was cooked perfectly and could be hailed as the epitome of Taiwanese Beef Noodles in Zhuhai. Most importantly, it only cost $28 a bowl, which is an excellent value compared to the notoriously overpriced 70-80 dollar bowls of beef noodles by internet celebrities.
🥓The Taiwanese sausage is well-known for its delicious taste. When eaten with slices of garlic, it's incredibly refreshing and not greasy, leaving a sweet aftertaste! So good!
🌭 The large intestine noodle dish was served with minced garlic, coriander, and a fragrant kind of black vinegar. After stirring them together, the first bite was incredibly delicious. The large intestines were thoroughly cleaned and flavorful from braising. Personally, I think large intestines and noodles are a perfect match – it's challenging to find this type of noodles in Zhuhai. It seems nowhere else sells it, which suits my taste perfectly.
🥓The 'Sweet But Not Spicy' dish consisted of fried snacks full of shrimp flavour. The exterior was crispy, the inside soft and chewy. Sprinkled with pepper salt, the taste was extremely good, and even when cooled down, it was still as delicious.
🍗The crispy salted chicken was recommended by the waiter to be eaten with this green basil leaf for enhanced flavor. True enough, upon tasting, my mouth was filled with a unique aroma that elevated the chicken pieces. The outer crispy layer and the tender inside sprinkled with pepper salt were just scrumptious!
